The day I met you

I remember the day I met you,
Even though I didn't have a clue.
You gave me a friendly smile,
And then we talked for awhile.
When I looked into your eyes,
I began to see,
That you are far more,
Then I thought you would be.
You gave me friendship, respect, and love.
You glowed like an angel,
Sent from above.
I was not looking for love,
But it is true.
Love was what I found,
The day I met you!
